Hello! I (Professor Hanson), am all alone in the hotel today. Yesterday, after taking the mid-term exam in the morning, the students (and Professor Berliner), all hopped on the train to Vienna, where they will enjoy their free weekend. The students return to Budapest on Sunday night while Professor Berliner travels on to Germany and then Portugal before returning back to the States. We will all miss his cheerful presence for the last two weeks. Not to mention his penchant for locating incredibly tasty baked goods here in Budapest and sharing them with us all.
Meanwhile, it feels a bit lonely here at the Professor's Guest House. I am actually the only one staying here this weekend, which feels quite strange. It gives me some time to tackle the pile of tests and homework that needs to be graded. Sigh...
Stay tuned for news from Vienna. I'm sure the students will have much to report on when they return to Budapest.
